Om Golden State Warriors
Is basketball's one of the great and longest dynasties on the verge of seeing it's days numbered? You can't really write a Steph Curry-led team of the books – never – but sooner or later. Age is catching up with everybody.
What Golden State have achieved during the last decade is truly remarkable: 4 NBA championships between 2015-2022 and 6 Conference titles during the same period. In addition, Golden State won championships in 1947 and 1956, while still in Philadelphia, and in 1975, after its move west.
What is even more stunning, is the fact that the team was able to keep its core intact: head coach Steve Kerr (since 2014), Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. In two of the banners, the team added superstar Kevin Durant to the mix. Having been, without a doubt, the finest managed organization in the NBA, the Warriors were able to be at the top of the game while surrounding its core with fine rotation players, never moving away from Kerr's pick and roll offense.
Founded as the Philadelphia Warriors in 1946, the team moved to the Bay area in 1962 and located in Oakland. It was renamed the San Francisco Warriors until 1971, when it changed its name to Golden State. In 2019, the team moved across the Bay to San Francisco, into 18,064-seat state of the art Chase Center.
The great Wilt Chamberlain  (“Wilt the Stilt”) played for the team from 1959-1965. In each of the five full seasons he spent with the Warriors (and his sixth season in which he was traded), Chamberlain won the NBA scoring title. He won the rebounding title in four of those seasons and led the league in shooting percentage in three of them.
Rich Barry was an All-Star in each of the eight seasons he played for the Warriors and an All-NBA player in six of them. He is one of the top 15 or 20 players in the history of the league, and No. 2 in the history of the Warriors.
Small forward Chris Mullin spent twelve years in Oakland and led the Warriors to five playoff appearances. He averaged 25.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.7 blocks on 52.3 percent FG shooting and 87.1 percent FT shooting.
Paul Arizin  achieved 11.3 rebounds per game in the 1951-52 season for Arizin, which should be considered amongst the absolute greatest years in NBA history. During his 10-year career, playing exclusively in Philadelphia, Arizin averaged 22.8 points and 8.6 rebounds, won a championship and made the All-Star Team every single season of his career.
